FOTD: Untitled Work Look

Sorry for the lack of imagination.  I really have no idea what to call this look.  But I wore it this past weekend for another day at the ice cream parlor.  I looveeeeeed how the look turned out but HATEEEE the freaking pictures because it makes the makeup look like poop.  Sure, the makeup could use some refining but blahhh.

Anyways, I did this look in the early afternoon and was thrilled to have a bit of sunlight left to take pictures in.

But as it turns out, you really can't see much of the makeup so I resorted back to the harsh flash of my camera:

Yes, I'm kicking myself for not applying makeup properly to my two different sized eyes too.

Face:
-Inglot Face Primer
-Aveeno Tinted Moisturizer in Medium
-MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20
-Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Ivory
-Cover FX Setting Powder in Light
-NARS Laguna Bronzer
-Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Amused

Eyes:
-UDPP
-Inglot eyeshadows in 395P, 422P, DS500, and 352M
-UD 24/7 Liner in Perversion and Oil Slick
-L'oreal Voluminous Mascara

Lips:
-Cover Girl Lip Perfection l/s in Romance

...And just for fun, here is a shot of the chaos that is the desk I use for makeup, cardmaking, and homework:

Like I said, CHAOS.

I feel like I've been using this blog for ranting and look dumping lately.  I have a lighter work load this week so I'm going to try to get some more fun posts in.  Comments? Requests? Randomness?  Let me know!

P.S.  I'm having trouble commenting on some of your blogs.  Blogger tells me that I need to be a member of some of your blogs in order to comment but that's all bullcrap.  I'm signed into blogger and all and I have been able to comment before so I don't know what the problem is.   Sorry :(

  1. I love that lip color on you! Also... Do I spy a Z palette? How do you like it? After your hot tip that there was an Inglot at the SF Macy's, I ran straight there aand... They were out of the Freedom System palettes! I still might continue with those to keep it uniform (since I have some Inglot in a 4-pan already), but I would like to explore my options...

    1. Yes, there are two Zpalettes there :) They're fantastic for personal use. I haven't taken them traveling yet so I don't know how the hold up. I like them better than the Inglot pans, actually, because they're so lightweight, and it is slightly easier to move the eyeshadows around. I haven't had a chance to go to the SF Inglot yet! How is it there compared to a free standing store?

    2. Hmm, ok, good to know! I am not sold on the Z palette simply because I think it might be too big to travel with, but maybe I just need to be more open to rotating my shadows between bigger and smaller palettes depending on my needs. The SF Inglot was fine... It was situated between the Urban Decay counter and the aisles of non-counter makeup. It seemed to have less product than the only freestanding store that I've been to, and a lot of the Freedom System eyeshadow pans were missing. I'm not sure if they were out, or colors that weren't offered at this location, or if they just hadn't put the testers back after people picked them up. Also, I was standing around FOREVER waiting for help, and the SA who helped me was obviously unfamiliar with the Inglot counter. I don't know that most of the SAs working the counter were really well-versed with the products; I was looking for their concealer pencil and when I asked someone standing at that counter, he asked someone else for help, and ended up sending me to Urban Decay, even though Inglot did in fact have their own concealer pencil. But it's new, I bet in a few months most of those kinks will be worked out, even if the selection is very slightly less than at a freestanding store. (Most of the selection looked comparable to the selection at the store I went to; it was just lacking in the eye shadow department, but like I said, maybe they just hadn't restocked the testers yet.) Now if only they'd start putting these in the suburban Macy's... Even when I did live in the city proper, I hated navigating the tourists at Union Square!

    3. I know what you mean by Zpalettes. I only bought some because I have a bunch of eyeshadow pans floating around. And as for Inglot...hrm.....that's very interesting. I'm actually about to quit my job because working in food service is taking a toll on my eczema so I've been applying to makeup counters. Perhaps I should apply for INglot :D

  2. Go for it! I have a friend who worked at a Clinique counter in a Macy's and she loved it, it sounded like a very fun working environment. I'll come and buy things from you :P And drag all of my friends who haven't used Inglot to the counter to get makeovers and buy things from you!

  4. Booo, blogger has done that to me before! Try using Google Chrome as your browser, I found that eliminated most of the problems that I was having.
