NOTD: Electrifying Big Spender

It's a miracle!  Two nail posts in a row.  Even if they are a couple weeks apart.  And I do apologize for my lack of posts lately, as I'm living a Korean drama right now and it's taking up a lot of my energy and motivation.  But I did have the day off from work today so I did my nails.

I started out with a couple coats of Essie's "Big Spender" but I really don't like the look of pinks and reds on my nails so I jazzed it up with a little bit of China Glaze's "Electrify" (from the Hunger Games Collection) as an accent.  I wanted to bling out all my nails but glitter is slightly difficult to remove so I settled for one finger on each hand.  I finished with a top coat by Seche Vite.

I did realized that I colored outside the lines....nails are definitely not my forte.

On a side note, did anybody notice the difference in picture quality?  Anyone at all?  I may or may not have acquired a new camera.....

NOTD: Fast Track

Nail polish is not something I can wear very often because of work.  I generally have to keep my nails short or I'll scratch my flesh right off the bone in my sleep because of my eczema.  What is left of my nails, then, is not very much to work with in terms of producing nail art but I absolutely refuse to be left out of the fun.  When I have two days off in a row, I try to remember to add a little bit more color in my life.

After buying a crapload of China Glaze nail polishes, how can I not indulge?  May I introduce you to Fast Track by China Glaze, part of The Hunger Games collection.  Fast Track is the polish for District 6, transportation.  It's a beautiful soft beige with golden shimmer.  I don't seem to wear it very well, but I like it all the same.
2 Coats

I can't tell you much about the wear time, but it seems to wear pretty well in the two days I had it on. I experienced no chipping whatsoever, and that is without a base coat or top coat.  Removing it was a pain in the ass because of all the glitter.

I'm wearing Luxe and Lush over Black Diamond on my toes right now and I LOOVEEE the combination.  I'm not sure I want to post pictures of my feet on my blog just yet though, so I'll have to show you another time.

By the way, China Glaze nail polishes are buy 2 get 1 free at Sally's for the entire month of April.  Definitely a good tie to stock up!

China Glaze Haul from Sally's

The problem with putting myself on a makeup buying ban is that I start finding reasons to buy other things.  So I end up doing damage either way.

For example, I bought quite a few nail polishes yesterday.  I know I'm late to the party but I decided to finally pick up a few polishes from The Hunger Games collection by China Glaze.  Needless to say, there weren't many left in the display at Sally's Beauty Supply.  The ones I REALLY wanted (Smoke and Ashes and Stone Cold) weren't there.  The girl there was in the process of unpacking boxes and she told me that she had a shipment of China Glaze in the back, but it doesn't necessarily mean there were some from the collection.  She said I should call back within an hour but I decided to just stick around for an hour while she worked on the boxes and served customers.  Turns out there weren't any more, but I did come home with these.

From the Hunger Games Collection:
Fast Track, Electrify, Luxe and Lush
 Crackle Polish/Prism Collection
Oxidized Aqua, Haute Metal, Full Spectrum
 Magnetic Polish:
Pull Me Close, Instant Chemistry
For the month of April, China Glaze Polishes are buy 2 get 1 free.  Sally's also has a bunch of Crackle nail polishes for $1.99 each, but those aren't included in the promotion.

Also....I purchased 4 more polishes from the Hunger Games Collection online because I wanted them that bad ><.

My poor wallet.  Does this count as sticking with my makeup buying ban?  I'm not sure anymore.

FOTD: China Glaze Black Diamond

Hello lovelies,

This will be a quick and nearly wordless post about my nails from last week.  I apologize for the lack of posts.  This school and work thing is a lot more difficult than I remember.

<3,
Janny
