I haven't really been doing makeup too much lately. Well, besides for Vegas but even then I wasn't feeling too motivated. After doing this look for a night out last night, I became inspired again and actually did the same look today haha! I love posting FOTDs and I hope to be doing them more often. I did this look using colors mostly from the my new INGLOT eyeshadows that my friend bought me. I have a bit of a haul/vegas post if you want to check it out here.

I really like this look! It's nice for a casual night out or even during the day (for me anyway). I think I like it so much I may do a tutorial on it. It's been forever and a day since I've last done a video anyway.
Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend, everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. I've been a bit disconnected from the blogging world. Had some ups and downs here and there and it's not over yet. I have a few partially finished posts laying around that I really have to finish up and share with everyone, and I'll do that as soon as possible now that I have a bit more time. This will just be a short filler post until then.
I went to Las Vegas last weekend to see a good friend of mine and experience the wonders of Sin City. I've mentioned him before in a previous post. He's the one that is in the airforce and will be leaving for Korea soon. I was a crappy blogger and totally did not think to take pictures of my makeup. Boooo. Here are a few pictures from the trip though.
Tony's cat Sashi. I'm usually not a big fan of cats but this guy is funny haha.
Tony and I will be sending a sketchbook back and forth. Here is the first drawing by yours truly, and it's funny cause Tony can't eat vegetables.
Slot machines in a grocery store....it's redonkadonk.
Inside The Venetian! Isn't it beautiful?
Tony and I dressed for a night of clubbing :)

Props to whoever can guess what this statue is.
Looking a little sheepish haha.
My hand actually was covered completely with swatches.
Beautiful sunset.
What Las Vegas is known for.
The Bellagio.
I wonder how many of you scrolled down to see what I got from INGLOT when you saw the pictures up there lol. It was difficult but I managed to settle with a 5 pan square palette. Tony then stuck my wallet in his shorts and refused to let me pay for it. Probably because I had sneakily paid for lunch. We Asians are damn good at fighting for the bill hahahha. But without further ado, here is the beauty:
L to R: 395P, 422P, D.S. 459, D.S. 500, AMC Shine 47
I have this hoarding problem. I have hoarded a bunch of INGLOT products but have barely used them. I should do a collective INGLOT post soon so I can re-examine everything and actually use this stuff. So some time after I finish all the half finished posts I have lying around, I will hop to that!
ANDDDD....I've saved the best for last. I hope you guys have been following me through this post. I talked to the sales associate at the Town Center INGLOT and asked her about the price hike that EVERYONE has been freaking out about. Apparently, that's not happening any time soon. They were going to do it, but decided to keep prices the same. Keep in mind that I did not talk to a representative, but to one of the employees so I don't know exactly how reliable this information is. However, I figured an employee would probably know better than some of us beauty bloggers.
That's all for now! I hope to get back to rolling out blogs more consistently. Thanks so much for staying with me!
First of all, I do apologize for my lack of posts. Every once in a while life comes around and kicks you really hard in the bum and this is one of those times. My energy and motivation to blog has been depleted for the past few days, but I really do miss it so I hope to be dishing out more stuffs.
For now, however, I wanted to share my NOTD from late last week. Lo and behold, allow me to introduce you to Zoya's Deidra:
Definitely not my usual. I prefer to go for brights or darks when it comes to nail polishes. I wasn't in love with this color at first but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. This is the first time I applied a sort of neutral on my nails, and it reminds me a lot of wedding and generally a color a bride would wear on her wedding day.
In this picture, I have two coats of Deidra, with no base or top coat. Unlike many of Zoya's other nail polishes, one coat of Deidra is quite decent and will suffice if you're in a hurry, but two coats definitely delivers a more opaque finish. I love the duochrome effect of the nails. If you look closely you can see that a golden sheen shines through the gorgeous purple-y pink color.
Life is exhausting me but I hope every one of you is happy and healthy. Thanks for stopping by!
If you have a moment, please read this story about somebody who spent two years growing their blog out of nothing, and suddenly faces potential legal issues when another company decides they like your blog name, and registers it as a trademark for her own company. If this company is successful, all the hard work that Amber of Shoeperwoman.com can no longer exist.
I was just playing around with red lips today. I'm really loving how the bright lips take center stage. Maybe tomorrow I'll have the balls to actually wear it out lol.

Allow me to present some items that I've been really enjoying and reaching for a lot during the month of March! It's been a hectic month, but I still had a bit of time to play with my toys =)
1) Tresemme Heat Tamer--This is an oldie but a goodie. I've always loved this product but I've been experimenting with my hair a lot more so I've been reaching for this a lot. It smells really nice and is relatively inexpensive (around $6 USD and under). It does a fantastic job of keeping my hair from burning.
2.) Teasing Comb--I got this from some independent beauty store in some shopping outlet. It has no name or brand that I know of, and I can't tell you where you can get this comb. At first glance it looks like a normal rattail comb but if you look closely, you can see that the teeth are uneven. This works so much better than a rattail comb, and does a lovely job when my hair needs a little bit more "oomph."
3.) Too Faced Natural Eye Collection Palette--I'm not sure why it's called natural eye but it isn't really. I've been reaching this on date nights where my company does not consist of people I am super familiar with. In other words, I don't want to rock too much color and seem "normal" in their presence if that makes sense. In any case, I love this palette because I can make a few bombass night (and day!) looks that are not over the top. The gold and brown combination especially is a favorite of mine, and looks great on any skin tone.
4.) Vaseline Lip Therapy--I received this as a prize from Emma of Birds Decorate Branches last Christmas as I won her giveaway. After coming back from Quebec my lips were far from sexy after having been beaten by the cold and dry weather. This is the only stuff that I feel really soothes my lips.
5.) Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer--I'm sorry to say that this has been discontinued, because it certainly is a wonderful product. I purchased this over the summer and found it too light for me, so I waited till I lightened up again during the winter. I use this wherever I need some extra coverage, including under the eyes. I love how it provides good coverage and doesn't get cakey if applied correctly.
I'm trying to keep it short and sweet cause I am butt tired (as usual....what else is new?). Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about the aforementioned products. Thanks so much for stopping by!
