Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick 31

Hello friends~

I'm in a bit of a counterproductive phase where I am using the same makeup everyday but I'm still continually purchasing new items.   I'm in the state of trying to use up old makeup that I have while doing a whole lot of retail therapy.  As a result, I have accumulated a rather ridiculous amount of unopened and/or unused makeup.  I try not to use the new goodies until I have had a chance to photograph products in their pristine condition.  But what good is makeup if you can't use it, right?

Today, I bring to you MUFE Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in shade 31 ($19.00 USD).  This lipstick is definitely up my alley--it's long lasting, pigmented, and a wearable dusty pink color.

Multiple swipes//One swipe

This is definitely not an unusual color, but the formula really can't be beat.  The formula is neither drying nor moisturizing, but is relatively long lasting and has fabulous color pay off.

What do you guys think?  Have you tried MUFE lipsticks?  If so, what colors/formula are your favorite?

Behind the Chair: Black to Red Ombre

Hey everyone!

I'm so excited to share this with you guys!  I know ombre has been out and about for such a long time now but last week I had the opportunity to do a black to red ombre hair color service and I freaking LOVE how it turned out!  Now, I'm one of those people who tend to be pretty hard on myself so for me to say I love my own work is a rarity.  But check it out!

I'm in love love love!  Totally wish I had long hair so I could color my own hair like this too.

By the way, I don't know if any of you folks live in the San Francisco bay area, but the salon I work at is located in the East bay.  If you're interested in coming by to say hello or get your hair done, shoot me an email!

Messy French Roll

I'm trying to document some more of the hairstyles (and makeup looks) I do in an effort to expand my portfolio.  I haven't been doing so since the beginning of my career either A) because I'm a perfectionist and I'm rarely satisfied with my work or B) because I'm too tied down with cranking out hair and makeup that I don't have time to snap a picture or C) because I depended on a professional photographer to capture pictures and that doesn't quite happen.  I'm currently trying to expand my clientele in the salon as well as for freelance work so I'm putting up whatever pictures I can (for now) until I build up on lots of professional pictures.

In any case, I did a slightly messy and soft french roll for at a fashion event.  She has shoulder length hair, but wanted it up and out of the way in a soft, yet sophisticated style.

I personally love this style.  Her natural hair texture is wavy which makes rolling the hair much easier than my straight, wiry, Asian hair.

What do you guys think?

Happy Halloween!

Hey friends~

I hope everybody had a safe and fun Halloween!  I didn't have any plans to dress up this year but I didn't want to pass out candy without having some sort of costume so I applied some dark-ish makeup over my existing day makeup.  It literally took 10 minutes since I was rushing to catch the trick-or-treaters during peak hour.  Teasing my hair took another 3 minutes.

Face:
-Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation in Buff 40
-Ben Nye Neutral Set Powder
-TheBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer

Eyes:
-Sugarpill eyeshadows in Poison Plum, Love+, and Bulletproof

Lips:
-Inglot AMC Lip Pencil in 89, MUFE Rouge Intense lipstick 43

I had a zombie princess trick-or-treater ask me what I was dressed up as.  I told her I hadn't decided yet, which was true.  I suppose I was some sort of vampiric gypsy witch.  Works for me!

How about you guys?  What did y'all do for Halloween?  What did everyone dress up as?  If you blogged about it, link me so I can see!
